Let me start by saying five days in Italy is NOT ENOUGH TIME. In that time, however, we drank our fill of wine, saw incredible sights, and ate ridiculous food. We flew to Florence straight after our weekend in Amsterdam, making for a very fun spring break.

Day 1
Land in Florence in early evening
Check in to Airbnb
Walk across the Ponte Vecchio to Piazzale Michelangelo for sunset
Day 2
Visit the Uffizi in the morning
Lunch at Mercato Centrale
Explore Florence
Visit Boboli Gardens and Palazzo Pitti
Dinner at Osteria delle Tre Panche
Day 3
Visit the Galleria dell’Accademia
Pick up rental car at airport
Wine tasting at Tenuta Riseccoli
Wine tasting and tour at Luiano Winery
Pick up dinner in Greve
Check into agriturismo (we wish we stayed here longer! heaven on earth)
Day 4
Drive to San Gimignano for cooking class at La Marronaia
Drive to Lucca and check in to Airbnb
Day 5
Explore Lucca
Day 6
Visit Pisa (skipped because the ZTL’s were too confusing and we had our luggage in the convertible)
Stop for lunch
Fly back to Ireland
